I'm loath to describe my art practice.

Possibly because it's difficult to explain or maybe because I'm still finding it. It veers between energetic, almost abstract soft pastel works to more story based projects that explore subjects like flying saucers and social justice.

Those energetic and colourful works were developed at art school when I was looking for a way to expand my charcoal practice and the storytelling comes from years working as an award winning advertising creative and script writer.

I apologise if that makes me difficult to define.

Am I an artist, an illustrator or a screenwriter? To confuse matters, I play music as well. The only consistent is that I've been employed as a creative for my entire working life.

In recent years I've committed to develop my visual art practice. I've  had three solo art shows in the last three years, I'm a Unison Colour Associate Artist (arguably the finest soft pastel makers in the world) and I was invited to Norway in October, 2024,  to take part in art residency.

Ultimately, I want my art in whatever form it takes, to connect and move people (isn't that what all good art does?).

I want them to feel something. I want to feel something.
